Sydney Woman Dodges Death as Car Plows Through Bus Stop

A split-second decision to move from a bus stop in the Sydney suburb of Thornleigh, saved a woman from being struck by an out of control car on August 16.

As seen in CCTV footage recorded from FLICK ‘n’ FISH bait & tackle off Cumberland Hwy, the woman placed her bag at the bus stop then she suddenly turned and walked away, seconds later a car can be seen mounting the pavement and smashing through the bus stop.

“I was just walking away and heard the sounds and turned back,” the woman who has been identified by 9News as Karyn Johnson, said. “That’s one of the bizarre things, watching it back, just to see… how close it was.”

Sharing the video to his business’ Facebook page owner Gehad Tuameh said was something, “I won’t forget for a long time”.
