Florida Police Officers Rescue Ducklings Trapped in Drain

Police in Cape Coral, Florida, saved two ducklings from a storm drain on April 5.

Bodycam footage released by the Cape Coral Police Department shows Officer Ian Ross, Lieut Donald Donakowski, and K9 officer Stephen Scrobe performing rescuing the ducks.

Officers said they were walking to their vehicles in the department’s parking lot when they heard “pleas for help, but not the human kind.”

The ducklings were taken to the Viscaya Prado Animal Hospital for treatment after officers were unable to locate the mother. Credit: Cape Coral Police Department via Storyful
