Volunteers Take Shelter Dogs on 'Doggie Dates' in Effort to Find Them New Homes

Volunteers in Winnipeg, Canada, are working to make sure these shelter dogs get their day and a shot at finding a forever home by allowing them out on “Doggie Dates.”

Winnipeg Animal Services is making efforts to find new homes for their dogs by taking them on Doggie Dates. Staff recently took some of these good boys and girls to The Forks where the dogs sported ‘Adopt Me’ vests and got a chance to meet some people.

The dogs can be seen getting lots of pets from kind patrons and enjoying the winter weather. The animal services allow the pups to be taken out for “a day, weekend, or week of fun,” according to their website. Credit: Winnipeg Animal Services via Storyful
