Three Injured After Hot Air Balloon Crashes in Colorado State Park
Three people were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening after a hot air balloon crashed in Colorado’s Chatfield State Park on Sunday, June 20, authorities said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said they believed a strong gust of wind caused the balloon to crash. Three other people involved in the incident were not injured, the sheriff’s office said.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife said the balloon came down southwest of the park’s gravel ponds. The park remained fully open and operational on Sunday. Credit: Travis Dodd via Storyful
